Manufacturing Department

Quality on time every time

An Overview:

all items are tracked via a state of the art bar code system

Primas Manufacturing ToolsOriginally set up in the early 1970's to manufacture aluminium windows and doors, the department moved to the manufacture of PVCu products in the mid 1980's to meet the growing demand within both the commercial and domestic market place. The PVCu manufacture continued to grow inline with growth of Prima's commercial installations and it's own supply only demands. In 1999 the manufacture of aluminium products was brought back on line to coincide with the increase in demand, this has continued to expand to become the main material type currently manufactured.

To facilitate the current throughput and to ensure that the high quality level is achieved, Prima manufacturing has invested in state-of-the-art CNC machinery.
Alongside advanced optimisation software this investment ensures that material wastage is kept to a minimum, therefore allowing savings to be forwarded to clients.

As well as investing in machinery Prima, is only too aware that total commitment to quality is only possible through highly trained and dedicated staff, to achieve this a full internal training programme has been set up alongside NVQ assessment and qualifications.

Due to the complex nature of the manufacture processes Prima's own internal IT department wrote the software to suit the companies stringent requirements.

To ensure compliance to current regulations, legislations and client demands Prima has a dedicated research and development team to ensure all products are not only kept up to date but continually improved.
